Video Proxy Manual Installation

Prerequisites

• Windows, Linux/Unix (for Linux/Unix binaries, please contact REMWAVE)
• 2.0GHz CPU installed
• 2GB RAM
• 100/1000 Mbps NIC
• Administrative Privileges

Install (Windows)

1. Install Video Proxy MSI

2. Go to command line: Start -> Run -> "cmd" -> enter

3. Type (change path to where installed to): sc create "Remwave Video Proxy" binPath= "C:\Program Files\REMWAVE Inc\VideoProxy\VideoProxy.exe"

4. That should have installed the service into the Service Controller.

5. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Administration Tools -> Services

6. Verify Remwave Video Proxy is a listed service. Alter its properties to start automatically, and restart after any failures
7. Start Service

Install (Linux/Unix)

1. Place binary in a folder with proper permissions (/usr/local/videoproxy)
2. Start Service by typing: videoproxy
3. If desired, create init.d/SCM management scripts to start/stop service at boot
