Installation Tips:
- Do not try to install complete system on one Virtual Machine - it can be done, but do not expect maximum performance. Instead, try out the Part 1 and Part 2 MS Virtual Machine Images located on the download section. These VM's have a 30 Day MS Windows Trial Period and were partitioned to best distribute the load of the complete ITSP system for maximim virtual machine usage.
- At least 2GB of RAM
- A Dual Core is recommended, more cores the better. At least a 2GHz machine
- At least 10 free GB's of free hard drive space
- Windows XP Pro with SP2 or Windows 2003 Server with SP1 (Server recommended)
- Administrator Priledges Required
- Make sure no other programs are running before starting to install
Reinstalling after Uninstalling:
- Issue Win 2003 - The installer does not attempt to uninstall PHP, so when trying to re-install the Remwave Web Services, you will likely experience a PHP install error.
Solution – Go to IIS Control Manager -> Delete the key for PHP and retry the installation.
- Issue – Occasionally, when uninstalling OracleXE (as part of Billing Engine), the !OracleServiceXE service is left in the installed services. Which can cause Billing Engine re-install to fail
Solution - go to command prompt (Start -> Run -> type “cmd” ->enter), and enter:
sc delete "OracleServiceXE" Afterwards, delete the OracleXE directory (c:\oraclexe)
- Issue - Sip Proxy (Calamar) fails to start after boot. Sometimes, OracleXE Service takes an unusal amount of time to come online when booting (service is running, but DB is not mounted). This can cause Calamar startup to fail (normally, Database should be installed on separate system, but for demo purposes putting everything on one server is allowed).
Solution – Go to Start -> Program Files -> All Programs -> REMWAVE -> Start All Services.bat
