Rate Plan Manager
Rate plan manager is where you edit your prices for your customers depending on if they are your retail customers or resell agents. You have the complete power to edit and show your margins of profit in this area. Rate Plan Manager or RPM for short, is split in to seven (7) different sections:
- Static rates view
- Prefix admin
- Customer rate admin
- Customer rate check
- Carrier
- Gateway
- Carrier Rates
Static rates view
Represents the current price ratio to any of your particular customers whether a retail or a reseller. As you can see in the image below, we will use this profile as an example of what you are to expect. You will notice several components in this profile once the price is set, indicating your price offering to the client plus the margin of your carrier price.
Prefix Admin
In the event a country adds a prefix or you do not have a country listed in your database you can do so in this area. Simply click the “ADD PREFIX” link and enter the required information. Once completed and saved the country will show on your “Global List” as available countries to call under your service.
View of “ADD PREFIX”
Once the information is entered click on “Add Prefix” and the country with attributes will now show up on your list.
Customer Rate Admin
This section is where your business calculates the rates for your individual customers. Depending on what you have already setup for your rates you simply add on customers with rates by using the drop down arrow.
Customer Rate Check
This area is where you see your customer’s current rates and if any adjustments need to be made it will be in this area that you can make them. Once you know what needs to be changed, you can make these adjustments on the Customer Rate Admin on the bottom portion of this page. Use the image below for reference.

It will be in this area where all your editing will need to be made. Once completed click save rate to disk and your edit will be saved.
Carrier
A complete complied list of all the carriers for your minutes will be listed on this page. The ability to add new carriers is also listed on this page.
To add a new carrier, on the left side of this window you will see the area where to fill out all the needed information. Once complete click “CREATE” and the carrier will then be listed under current carriers.
Gateways
In telecommunications, the term gateway has the following meanings:
In a communications network, a network node equipped for interfacing with another network that uses different protocols. A gateway may contain devices such as protocol translators, impedance matching devices, rate converters, fault isolators, or signal translators as necessary to provide system interoperability. It also requires the establishment of mutually acceptable administrative procedures between the two networks. A protocol translation/mapping gateway interconnects networks with different network protocol technologies by performing the required protocol conversions. Loosely, a computer configured to perform the tasks of a gateway. The gateway node often acts as a proxy server and a firewall. The gateway is also associated with both a router, which uses headers and forwarding tables to determine where packets are sent, and a switch, which provides the actual path for the packet in and out of the gateway.
Routers exemplify special cases of gateways. In the image below the example company at this time does not have any gateways setup. In the Example listed below we will enter in all the information as if you were to add a new gateway. Once all fields are completed and saved, the gateway will show in the list of available gateways for this company.
Carrier rates
- The area where you will see that rates that your company pays with a certain carrier.
Minute Plan Manager
It is in this area that you edit the amount paid for your minutes. Once this amount is set it is strongly advised that you do not go back and edit or constantly change this section as it affects your billing engine, Data Base, and minutes to every customer you have along with resellers included. In most cases REMWAVE will already have this portion configured for you. Pending your contract agreement and Carriers and or Gateways.
